10 Instagram Highlights Ideas for your Salon!

Your Instagram Highlights are a way for your potential clients to get to know you before getting in contact with you. Its a more passive way of learning about you that can convert clients if you include the right information!

Here are some suggestions:

  1. About Me

This is the number one thing to have as a highlight as people want to know who they are spending a long treatment with and if they will gel with you (no pun intended!) so include photos of yourself outside of work, pets, interest, and a bit about yourself.

2. Show Your Work.

This can be broken down into individual categories, but the main thing is to show befores and afters, even during! This way the client will see the range of treatments you do and decide if they trust you to perform their chosen service.

3. How to Book with you.

Do they DM? Do they email? Do you have a booking link? Save yourself some time and direct your clients on your preferred way. While not everyone will want to do it your preferred way, it will automate a lot of bookings and then you can troubleshoot the more difficult appointments by dealing with the customer directly.

4. Policies

What are your rules? Do you have a cancellation policy? A deposit system? Make sure this is all outlined in your Instagram Highlight.

5. Your Workspace

People love to see the insides of salons and where they will be pampered. Believe it or not, clients want an environment that they want to relax in or get ready for a night out in, so do your best to illustrate the vibes of your salon.

6. Staff

Do you have staff? Give them an individual highlight to showcase their work and get them more bookings!

7. COVID-19 Rules

Do you have rules for COVID and what you need from the client? Pop these here.

8. Client Selfies

These are so valuable so make sure you ask for clients to tag you at their special event or out in the world showcasing the results of your treatment. These will help potential clients see real life examples and is an important part of the Know Like Trust factor.

9. Reviews

Post some reviews up on your highlights. You can screenshot or format them to your brand look but these are great examples to have on your profile of your reliability and trust.

10. Anything else!
Get creative! Is there anything unique that happens in your salons? Maybe you want to show off the dogs that come in the salon? Or maybe you do Dance Tuesdays and want to highlight that? Dig deep and find something really individual that sets your salon apart!
