Pinterest - should you be on it?

Hi guys,

This blog is all about Pinterest. and if you should be on it!

Pinterest is almost forgotten by a lot of people as it’s used for play rather than work a lot of the time. However it is now being discovered as a major player among the platforms and this blog will talk about why it may be time to consider it.

Pinterest is essentially a search engine. You want to look at hen parties, wallpapers, or gift ideas? Pinterest will do this better than any other platform.

If your main target audience is women, then you are in luck, with 83% of women aged 25-44 being active on the platform.

Your posts will last longer. As they get pinned to a board, they will now sit in there for all time. Plus your post will be shown again and again to new audiences.

How I do Pinterest is through this blog. When i post a blog on my website, I make a custom cover for it using Canva. Canva has a Pinterest Template making sure your cover is the right dimensions.

I then make sure when I upload my blog to Pinterest, that i have the right keywords in my title so if someone is searching for that topic, I have a better chance of showing up.

Think about promoting your pins. Pinterest currently have the lowest cost per click out of all the social platforms, so it may be good to experiment on this platform with your advertising.

As with other platforms, you need to spend time on it. Follow your ideal clients, pin their stuff, create boards, and have fun with it! it is one of the more creative platforms out there and even if you only spend 10 minutes a day on it, it will help.
